Turkey Burger

Turkey Burger (Bunless)

With Sweet Potato Paprika Wedges

SERVES 1 // PREP TIME 3mins // COOK 5mins // TOTAL 8mins

Ingredients:

  • 150g mince turkey
  • 1 sweet potato
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 1/4 chopped red onion
  • 1 small handful of chopped kale
  • 1 slice of havarti cheese or cheese of your choice
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • Olive oil
  • 1 Tbl spoon paprika
  • Italian herbs
  • Garlic powder
  • Oregano
  • Salt
  • Pepper
Steps:
  1. Scrub sweet potato and chop up into wedge pieces. In a bowl, cover wedges in about 2-3 TBL spoons of oil. Add paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder and herbs and mix through until wedges are covered. Place on a baking tray and put in the oven at 300F/150C for 30 mins. Flip wedges at 15 minute mark.
  2. In another bowl throw in turkey, kale, onion, salt, pepper, oregano and mix together. Form your burger, don't make it too thick or it will be harder to cook.
  3. Place a frying pan on medium heat, add a little olive and put your burger in there when pan is hot. Depending on how thick your patty is cook for 8-10 mins before flipping, then add your cheese to cooked side of burger.
  4. Place your lettuce on a plate, add your burger then avocado, add sauce of your liking on top. Park your wedges next to burger and ya done!
